Director K. Subrahmanyam Memorial Trust, Narada Gnana Sabha and Brahma Gana Sabha jointly offered homage to Dr. Tiruvengadu Subramania Pillai on the occasion of his birth Centenary Year. Dr Nalli Kuppuswami Chetty presided over the function and presented the Centenary Awards to Sembanarkoil SRG Sambandam, SRG Rajanna, Sheik Mahaboob Subhani and Kaleeshabi Mahaboob. Dr Padma Subrahmanyam welcomed the gathering and awardees were felicitated by Thiru R Krishnaswami, Secretary, Narada Gana Sabha and Thiru A Natarajan, Former Director, Doordarshan Kendra. The function was followed by a Nadaswaram recital by Kalaimamani Thiru Seshampatti Sivalingam and Party.
Nadhaswara Chakravarthy Dr Tiruvengadu Subramania Pillai Trust organized the Birth Centenary Celebrations of Nadhaswara Chakravarthy Dr Tiruvengadu Subramania Pillai. Hon’ble Justice PR Gokulakrishnan (former Chief Justice, Gujarat High Court) presided over the function. Dr Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti was conferred with the title “Kalachara Kavalar”. Cash Award was presented to Tmt. TNR Pappammal wife of Akila Ulaga Nadhaswara Eka Chakrathipathi Thirvavaduthurai TN Rajarathinam Pillai.
On the Occasion, Thiru A Natarajan, former Director, Doordarshan Kendra released the Birth Centenary Souvenir and the first Copy was received by Padmashri Harithurvaramangalam Dr AK Palanivel.
Special CD of the recordings of Dr. Tiruvengadu Subramania Pillai produced by “SAREGAMA” India was also released and received by Sangeetha Kalanithi Tirumathi R Vedavalli. Felicitations by Padmabhushan Dr Padma Subramanian and Thiru R Krishnaswamy and Mangala Isai was by Thirumeignanam TKR Iyappan, Thirumeignanam TKR Meenakshisundaram (Nadhaswaraam) and Thalachangadu TM Ramanathan (Thavil). The occasion was graced by a Bharathanatyam dance program by Selvi Preeti Chandrasekar, (great Grand daughter of Dr Subramania Pillai and disciple of Kalaimamani Tmt Uma Dhandayuthpani).

On 12th Jan 2007, 19th Pongal Nadhaswara Isai Vizha 2007 was inaugurated by Thiru GK Vasan (Union Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation) and Nadaswara Vidwan Thriuveezhimalalai S Dakshinamoorthy Pillai was honoured with the title “Sangeetha Choodamani”, Cash Award and Gold Medal. The function was presided over by Thiru A Natarajan (former Director, Doordarshan Kendra, Chennai). Sangeetha Choodamani SRD Vaidyanathan, Thanjavur BM Sundaram, Haridwaramangalam SK Palanivel felicitated.
